WATCH: Andrew Flintoff Asks Tino Best To “Mind The Windows” During 2004

Former England cricketer, Andrew Flintoff, is one who has contributed heavily to the team’s success with his skills as a player. On the other hand, the cricketer had a way with his words.

Andrew Flintoff used his capability to chatter constantly as a means of dismissing Tino Best

Now, there is an incident from 2004 when England was playing West Indies. During this match, Flintoff used his splendid use of words to irritate batsman Tino Best when he was at the crease. Apparently, he constantly kept his chatter on which led to the fall of Best’s wicket.

Andrew Flintoff was at the slip when Ashley Giles, off spinner, was delivering to Best. The former player continued to talk with the intent of provoking Tino Best. In fact, he even used the term “Mind the windows” at one point

We all know that if you let a player get into your head, it will ultimately negatively impact your performance. This is what happened in the case of the Caribbean batsman. Best went for a big hit but was stumped. Even though he can be hot-headed, there is never a good time to acknowledge getting dismissed due to constant chatter in the background.

The video shows what went down during that incident

Recently, England Cricket tweeted a video of the same. Flintoff immediately responded to it by saying that it was probably one of the best actions he has done on-field.

On top of that, commentator late Richie Benaud, can be heard saying he does not whether it was outbowling or outtalking which led to the dismissal.

“Whether Giles outbowled Best or outtalked him, I do not know”.

“Possibly the best thing I did on a cricket field, thanks for popping in Tino”.

Even, Tino Best put in his comments recalling the incident. He shared a hearty laugh appreciating the jokes.
