Is Fortnite Covering Up Its Flaws With The New Season?

The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season made a ‘Marvel-ous’ debut as it introduced superheroes like Thor, Iron Man, She-Hulk, etc. in the game. They must team up with the Fortnite characters to face the imminent threat: Galactus. He is on his way to the island and his arrival would mean the destruction of all reality.

There are also new cosmetics, weapon changes, and mythic items that will definitely impress the fans. From the looks of it, everything looks amazing but it still doesn’t change the fact that the game needs some serious changes.

Take a look at this tweet from Fortnite pro Faze Sway.

Fortnite needs an extreme makeover

He outlines what the game really needs, instead of another gimmicky Season that diverts the attention from the real problems. And some of the issues outlined here are absolutely necessary for a BR game. Take the FOV slider for example. Even though the game is in third-person, it still needs a FOV slider.

This enables you to choose the perfect setting for yourself in any situation. This is already a setting in the rival BR Call Of Duty Warzone and it is about time Fortnite added this as well.

You also don’t have the option to customize your crosshair. Considering the game is playable on the console, PC, and mobile, it can be a different shooting experience for everyone. This is an absolutely basic setting that should definitely be available and it is yet to make its way to the game

A hacker made it to FNCS semis

A lot of the things mentioned by Sway are highly relevant and need to be in the game. But there is a much bigger problem to address and that is dealing with cheaters/hackers. Epic has spectacularly failed to deal with hackers/cheaters as one of them even made it to the FNCS semis. This is the single biggest Fortnite tournament in the world and Epic could not detect a hacker in it. This should be a wake-up call for the developers as there a multiple things they need to fix.

The new season has received some praise, too. Streamers like Sypher, Clix have all appreciated Season 4 but this doesn’t mean that the existing problems just don’t matter anymore. There are a lot of things the developers need to fix and they need to listen to what the players have to say.

With the whole drama around Epic’s battle against Apple and Google, the game is at the center of controversy at the moment. Epic really needs to address these concerns and prevent players from losing interest in the game completely. The game needs an extreme makeover and hopefully, the developers will make it happen.
