F1 Confirms 2 More Races to the 2020 Calendar, Set to Race in Mugello for the First Time
F1 fans brace yourself for some amazing news! Formula One has officially confirmed that Mugello will be part of the 2020 F1 calendar! It is scheduled to take place after the first Italian GP at Monza. The news comes after a month of speculation and rumors that the Italian circuit will host a race this year.
But wait, there’s more! Along with Mugello, Formula One has also confirmed that the Russian Grand Prix will also take place this year, at Sochi. The race at the Russian circuit will take place two weeks after the race at Mugello.

Carey Chase, the CEO and chairman of F1 said, “We are delighted to announce Mugello and Sochi will be part of the 2020 calendar and want to thank all our partners for the support in recent weeks.”
Furthermore, he hinted at the possibility of more similar announcements in the near future. He said, “The Russian Grand Prix is a major moment in our season. We are looking forward to being back in Sochi in September. We are equally excited to see Formula 1 race for the first time at Mugello, an occasion that will mark Ferrari’s 1000 Grand Prix. Both races will be a huge boost for fans with more announcements on the next races in our calendar coming in the weeks ahead.”
Apart from the Tifosi, another person who will be pleased to hear the news will be Sebastian Vettel. Two weeks ago the German tested the 2018 spec Ferrari in the build-up to the start of the season. After his testing, he spoke very highly of the circuit and said that it deserved its very own grand Prix.

The confirmation of Mugello and Sochi will bring the total number of races in the season to 10. That, according to Renault driver Daniel Ricciardo, is the magic number required to crown a world champion.
